Dave Waetjen received his Ph.D. in Geography from UC Davis in 2011, and has continued working for the university since.  Dave is responsible for creating many of the Center's online tools and projects, most notably, the "internationally famous" California Roadkill Observation System (http://wildlifecrossing.net/california). His general duties include programming in various languages, web-informatics, creation and management of very large databases, geographic information systems (GIS), scientific work-flows, data visualization, server management, and technical writing.
