Bio

Kerri Young is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of California, Davis, where she is pursuing a degree in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology. With a special interest in animal behavior, Kerri is currently an undergraduate researcher in the Sih Lab, leading her own research project on the transgenerational effects of multiple stressors on the behavior and physiology of bladder snails. Alongside her dedication to make a positive impact on animal welfare and conservation, Kerri aspires to become a veterinarian specializing in wildlife or exotics and has experience as a veterinary assistant and is part of The Wildlife Society at UC Davis. She is especially interested in human-wildlife interactions and in exploring how the health of animals, people, and ecosystems are interconnected. When not working with animals, Kerri enjoys working out, hiking, playing soccer, and napping outside in the shade.
